| Since the Moodmixer only produces best results if all titles have been given rating criteria and values it is essential, that the actual rating can be done in an efficient way. The facility to search for rated or not rated titles helps enormously when doing database work or when assembling title collections.
| In this mask one can search vor titles with single or combined rating values, these on their own or combined with a genre query.
| Via the menu option [Search- ratings] or the |
| The top row works exactly the same way as in the combined search:
| In the top dropdown field one can enter a name for the search which then will be saved in the Moodmixer-Explorer, saved search routines can be selected here in the drop down list as well.
| To the right of this drop-down field there are four icons with the following functions:
| At the bottom of the window these two icons have the following function:
| How does the search for rating values work?
| On the left side one can find the five switches for the rating criteria we already know from the rating module. The names of those 5 criteria have been set beforehand in the program settings.
| By default they are all turned of, clicking on to one of them activates the category and the switch turns green.
| Exactly as in the combined search they can be linked by an AND or an OR .
| In the case of rating values each category can only have two conditions: either the searched for value equals or doesn't equal the set value:
| The searched for value can be entered via a slide control. One can either set one single value or a range of values on a scale from 1-10.
| The slide controls are controlled with the mouse: Pull the slider to the desired value and confirm the value with another click onto the slider. This value then can be queried:
| The amount of found title will immediately be shown in the title bar at the top of the window ( in this case: perference value = 4):
| Or one can set a range of values by now pulling the slider again to the second value of the desired range:
| ( in this case for all titles with a preference value from 4 up to and including 8)
| Now the Moodmixer has found quite a lot more titles.
| One can use each of the five rating criteria separately but they can also be combined. Here's an example for a search just for certain rating values of all 5 criteria:
| Depending on the actual rating of my titles the result would show all my most favorite titles (preference 5-10) that put me in a better mood (mood 3-10), that have a tempo which is rather slow (tempo 0-3), that are chose for rather quiet events (event 0-3) and that are rather flowing than rhythmic (flow 0-6).
| You ratings and criteria can obviously be quite different.
| As an alternative one can also combine the rating criteria with an OR - that would increase the amount of available titles significantly.
| Some might want to narrow down the amount of titles to a single or a certain amount of genres:
| just activate the [Genre] - |
| select one or more ( keep [Ctrl- key ] pressed ) Genres
| Set the condition ( equals or doesn't equal) and the kind of combination ( AND or OR) B
| The result could look something like this:
| FTipp: In order to find titles that haven't been rated yet , one could search for titles with value 5 ( default) and then sort the listaccording to the fields - last changed ( data record) and entered into database. The last changed date should be empty if so far there haven't been made any changes to the datarecord.
