| Every title in the Moodmixer database is linked to so called "relational" tables.
| For example: In our case there could be a set of titles all performed by the same artist. If it wasn't for the relational database, one would find exactly the amount of titles as artist entries in a table- this would enlarge a database quite enormously. Instead we have a relational table that only states this artist once and all of the artist's titles are linked to this one entry in the artist's table.
| Sometime, because of different writing of a name one artist could have several entries of the same name but written differently in the artist's table. In this case Moodmixer would regard them as different artists and the artist blocking wouldn't work.
| Moodmixer has a maintenance tool which helps to clean up these wronbly written entries:
| There are four different "relational" tables: artist - composer - album - and genre.
| Via the menu option [Tables - (select one)]..........

| The clean-up tool is simple to use:
| The table displays all available entries of the respective category.
| Left of the entry there is a +-sign. If one clicks onto it all related titles to the entry will be displayed on the right.

| One can also enter search strings into the drop down field - via the |

| Edit table entries :
| Double click an entry -then it's editable
| Press Return ( Enter key on keyboard ) : saves the new edited entry
| If the name already exists in the table you will be prompted:
| ......, if all titles that where linked to the original entry should be linked to the new one. In most cases if one hasn't made a slip of pen or the new entry is written quite similar to the existing one one can confirm [re-assign titles] .
| If a table entry has been changed, all intiially assigned titles will be reassigned and the table jumps to the new enttry and displays all its assigned titles.
| E Sometimes the table doesn't display the newly asigned titles right away- a small bug- we are apologizing for it- but the titles have been reassigned. If you change a different entry and jump back to the initial one you will see that the view has been updated.
