| Mass changes/batch edit

| There are also several options for changing any kind of field of a number of titles in one go:
|
|
|
| 1) search and replace:
|
|
|
| If you want to edit mor than one field of the same column you can easily use the "find and replace" function. Simply select the column (highlighted black), press the right mouse button in the column title and choose [search].
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| A window for entering the search string opens:
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Usually the content of the first field in the column has been taken on. You can now alter it or enter a new search string ( ie. path )
|
|
|
| Find: The table jumps to the next matching title
|
|
|
| Find next: The next matching title will be displayed.
|
|
|
| find all (mark.): All found matching titles will be selected/marked and displayed ( you might have to scroll down to view others).
|
|
|
| Replace: Another field opens to enter the replacement string:
|
|
|
|
|
|
| If you now press the [replace] Button again, the first entry will be replaced. If you press this button repeatedly all entries will be replaced successively.
|
|
|
| Replace all: All found and marked entries will be replaced at once.
|
|
|
|
|
| In some columns ( ie. artist, album, Genre, composer ) you will be prompted if you really want to enter a new name.
|
|
|
|
|
|
| If you answer [No] the changing will not be made and you go back to the marked titles ( ie. if you made a slip of the pen) to correct the replacement.
|
|
|
|
|
| 2) Change Songdata for several titles:
|
|
|
|
|
| If you select several lines( titles) instead of a column you can edit a field in all selected titles at once.
|
|
|
After selecting the titles simply click into the left empty column with your right mouse button and choose the [change file info...] or select the  icon .
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Another editor opens:
|

|
|
|
|
| You can choose the category in the left drop down list and write the replacement into the right box:
|
|
|
|
|
|
| There is a warning highlighted in red below, that stated the amount of titles that will be changed and that you can not undo this action.
|
|
|
| Press the [OK]-Button and all selected titles will be updated.
|
|
|
| G Attention: the fields [year] and [BPM] just allow numbers to be written into the box!
|
|
|
