| The combined search is a module where you can link different quick searches together and conduct one search. One start the combined search via the menu [Search-combined search] or the search- |

| In the top dropdown field one can enter a name for the search which then will be saved in the Moodmixer-Explorer, saved search routines can be selected here in the drop down list as well.
| Moodmixer always memorizes the last conducted search even if it isn't saved and one has closed the search window by mistake. After one opens open the combined search again, the last criteria combination will be displayed. This is also true if one closes the Moodmixer completely. With the next program start the last conducted search can be recalled.

| To the right of this drop-down field there are four icons with the following functions:

| At the bottom of the window these two icons have the following function:
| No - how exactly does a combined search work?
| The combined search offers the possibility to search in allmost every field of the database. There are fields with textual content ( ie path, genre, title, artist etc.) or fields with numeric content ( ie. Length in seconds, year, BPM). The search mask adapts dynamically- changes its size, depending on what kind of and how many critera are searched for.
| All queries can be combined. There are two different kinds of combination:
| OR |
| G Attention: AND-combinations have a higher associativity than OR - combinations (as in mathematics the usual precedence rules : multiplication has higher associativity than addition' - in GB: BODMAS ) !
| In addition for each query there is a condition to select.
| = All search results MUST fulfill this criterion
| <> All search results ARE NOT ALLOWED to fulfill this criterion
| < All search results MUST be in lower order ( ie smaller in numbers or higher in the alphabet)
| <= All search results MUST be lower or equal to this criterium.
| > All search results MUST be higher in order ( ie higher in numbers - lower in the alphabet)
| >= All search results have to be higher or equal to this criterion.
| With this one has a shear infinite amount of combinations available. Here is an example for a combined search:
| For a Christmas party you have to produce a Xmas-mix with only christms titles. These titles are lying on your drive in numerous different folders. Now let's find them.
| First wegive this search project a name : XMAS
| Next we try to locate the christmas titles on your drive: is there perhaps a folder which has a christmas like naming to it?
| We'll check all path definitions:
| G Whilst entering search strings please do use wildcards [*] if possible ! An [*] asterisk before and after your entered string means, that this string can be found anywhere in the field. The string can lie anywhere either at the beginning, somewhere in the middle or at the end of a word or sentence. So - unless you know the exact content of a field - better use the asterisks!
| Only checking the path Moodmixer has found 9Titles so far- the amount of found titles is always displayed in the titlebar of the search window.
| In some countries Christmas can also be written as "Xmas", so we better check the path on "Xmas" as wellI.
| To fit the entries the search window has adapted its size.
| Unfortunately this new entry hasn't brought us additional titles. Where can we search as well ?
| Sometimes the album name is a good indication for its content:
| That was good - it brought us another bunch of titles. Now for what could we search as well ? And where?
| New, year and Santa brought us some more titles - if they all match- that will be seen later. In this case although we did want titles that had "santa" in them we didn't want "Santana"- so we ruled out Santana (AND <> Santana). The criterion 'New' is combined with 'year' ( the title field must have both words in it)
| If you have german titles , you might want to look for the german "weihnachten" - this can be searched for in the title, album or path fields.
| In our case this brought us many additional titles. Maybe this is enough and it's time to look at our want list.
| Either click onto the |

| Press [Yes] and the finished want list will be displayed.
| One can now either :
| 1) open the want list from the Moodmixer Explorer
| 2) open the search combination in the combined search window
| 3) choose the want list as basis for a playlist
