| In our Moodmixer we have developed an automatism that automatically produces play lists from predefined data and personal ratings of titles.
| The play list ( M3u ) in general is simply a textfile which states the sequence of the titles to be played and their location. The play list can be read by WinAmp but other players as well.
| In the Moodmixer some play lists can be combined with an actual playing schedule- if the Moodmixer mixing unit is running , the player WinAmp will start playing the scheduled playlist at their stated date and time.
| These playlists are being calculated to a large extent depending on the preference values of a title and the amount of titles per preference value. The preference value - ist the first rating criteria for titles in Moodmixer and defines the frequency each title wants to get heard:
| Preference 10 I want to hear this title often
| Preference 1 I don't want to hear this title too often
| Preference 2-9 everything inbetween those previous two
| Preference 0 I don't want to hear this title at all ( If titles with 0 value are included in the playlist generator they will be played even less than value 1 titles)
| If now a playlist is generated the titles with a preference value 10 will be played more often than the value 9 ones , them being played more often than value 8 and so on.... The amount of plays of each title depends on the actual available amount of titles (from want list , or title collection) and their respective values.
| BUT ( example): In a title collection you find roughly 100 titles of which only two titles will carry the preference value 10 and all others are rated value 5. In this case these two titles wil be played quite often , but not so often, that they start getting on your nerves.
