| In order to set up a music library the Moodmixer has to know where the soundfiles can be found on your PC or in the LAN network.
| G Attention to all users in a network: For every external drive or folder in the network you have to mount a network drive with its own drive letter ! Moodmixer doesn't support UNC-paths!!
| Via the menu option [Database - scan for mp3] , or the |
| G This scanning has only to be done once. Later you only have to rescan titles that have had changes made to or are new to your music collection. If Moodmixer finds that the title's informations just have been changed, it simply alters the tag information but keeps the Moodmixer profiling. If you re-scan your whole database it will be a lot quicker than the first time because most data are already available.

| Only checked relevant folders and/or subdirectories displayed in an Explorer window will be scanned
| Simply press the [scan] - button then - and there you go !
| F Tipp : If possible only check folders with mp3 files in it - folders without music files just unnecessariliy prolong the scanning !
| G The scanning procedure always prompts you if you want to have already tagged moodmixer ratings entered into the library. If you are re-entering your own files you should answer "yes" but watch out if these are external files!
| During the scanning process you can watch Moodmixer doing its work:
| Moodmixer tell you in detail how far the scanning has progressend. The scanning result displays the amount of saved data records and how long the scanning took.
| If it says [ready] you can simply close this window.
| Each time you have scanned NEW titles into the library a list window will open afterwards and display these new ones!
| Now what does my database look like ? You can open up a table with all files via the menu option [Search - All songs] or the shortcut [Ctrl + T]
